  1. I’m so liking this post! If money is not an object I’d visit Eastern Europe, especially the wierd places you recommended–it’s mostly safe now, right? 😉

    1. Hi Daisy! East Europe is becoming very popular as a tourist destination especially in the last few years because of the rich history and the countries are adapting fast to the increased tourism traffic. However just like visiting any other country precaution should always be used when traveling ex. always travel in groups, don’t stay out super late past the tourist crowds are gone and don’t go down creepy alleys but overall I never felt unsafe in the 2 weeks we spent there.

  2. Hello. Just came across your blog. I am a Lithuanian girl living in America. So awesome and funny you posted all these “weird” things to do in eastern Europe. Thank you for bringing back so many memories about my home country !!!!

    1. Sveiki, Romena!

I am so glad this brought back memories for you! I didn’t mention this in the article but I actually grew up in Latvia and I moved to America when I was 16 as well. These photos were taken on my first trip back to East Europe since I moved to US. We spent 2 weeks driving around Latvia, Lituania, Estonia and Finland searching for unique places to see. Many people don’t realize how fun and amazing East Europe is and I hope to change that.

      Cheers,
      Laura
